The boundaries which divide Life from Death are at best shadowy and vague. Who shall say where one ends, and where the other begins...

- Edgar Allan Poe

What does a Investigation consist of?

When we do our investigations, we like to break them up into five different phases.

Phase I : Q&A (Questions and Answers)

In this phase an investigator will meet with the client(s) and conduct an interview - either a one-on-one, or a group interview with everyone who has witnessed an event that had occured in the property.

This process can take several hours to complete. Also during this phase the investigator will explain the different types of haunting, ghosts, the equipment we use, the use of psychics, the drawing of floor plans of the location and the techniques we may employ during the investigation.

Phase II: Gathering of evidence

In this phase, the investigator will bring in a team of other investigators to gather evidence.

The group will set up several different types of equipment throughout the location. Some of the tools we use are night vision cameras, cassette recorders for recording any EVPs and equipment for taking base line readings in the areas where activity has been reported.

This phase is one of the longest phases. It can last from only a couple of hours up to around 8 hours. During this phase we may have to make several trips back to the location to gather either more information, or set up more equipment to gather additional information. If there are time constraints we may combine Phase III with this phase.

Phase III : Psychic walk-thru and contact

In this phase, the investigator will bring in a member of the group who has psychic abilities. This will be a person who will not have had any knowledge of or access to the investigation itself. This person will walk through a location and try to pick up on any "energy " that is at that location.

The psychic will then report their findings to the investigator and to the clients and relay any information that they received. The psychic, investigators and the clients will then sit down and determine if making contact with the ghost is an option. If the client wishes us to remove the ghost from the location we will explain the pros and cons of doing this before any action is taken.

This phase can last up to 8 hours.

Phase IV: Reviewing of evidence

In this phase, the investigator will review all the evidence gathered, including audio, video, photos and the experiences of any of the team. We will then try to determine if there is a true haunting and, if so, what kind of haunting it is and the source of the haunting.

Sometimes we may ask the client if we can return to review Phase II or Phase III to gather more information if what we have is inconclusive.

Phase V: The follow-up

In this phase the investigator will either call or meet with the client(s) and go through our findings from the investigation with them. We will also answer any questions that the client may have at this time.

Is there a cost for the investigation?

There is no cost for an investigation if it is within the twin cities 10 county area. Outside of the metro area there is a small fee to cover fuel expenses.

What if I only want a ghost busting and not an investigation?

We do have access to several people who are able to do a "ghost busting" We use some of these people when we feel that there is a haunting at a location.
